If it didn't say "discontinued" I'd suspect a scam

A computer monitor is nowhere close to a TV. It lacks half the parts.

    What is your source?

    off air?
    cable?
    sat?
    VCR?
    DVD?

Maybe one of these two external tuners, but likely only a 720p picture using a LCD PC monitor instead of a TV.

They are more for a TV that lacks an ATSC/QAM tuner, but might work to that limited extent. Also, read the reviews. They may have a short life.

[Edit] These are newer TVBox models from the same company.

There is other models I can buy at Tigerdirect or the Source. Just used that link for an example.

For a computer monitor, the tuner will need a VGA or DVI-D output. Computer monitors can't handle interlace.
The tuner box needs to deinterlace or inverse telecine.
