    Hello!

I'm a newbie and am trying to figure out what techniques I need to know to merge an intro, main and exit video on several videos. I'm also not sure if I need to do this with straigh ffmpeg or if I can use ffmpegx. Any tips would be appreciated!

    Thank you!
    Chris

ffmpegX can join MPEG-1, MPEG-2 or AVI clips, if all the parts have exactly the same movie properties. I'm not sure if ffmpegX uses ffmpeg under the hood for this operation.
For other merging jobs, you would have to look at other apps with extended edit functionality.
ffmpegX aims at conversions, not automation.
