    Hi

I use media player classic quiet often, yesterday I reinstailled windows XP and since then I have had this problem with the player:
When I click on the some videos file , MPCHC opens without any problem.
But then there is the message at the bottom of the player as shown on the attached picture.

    Can someone please help me.

Does windows media player itself play these files? If you load MPHC and then naviagte to the file does it play? Where are these files stored, on the same drive? Are these files *.avi? Reinstalled, complete reinstall after reformating?
