Shrink DVD to 2GB or Less

Does anyone know of a good tool to shrink a DVD to 2GB or less while keeping the extras? I don't care about subtitles.

The free version of DVD Rebuilder doesn't have an option for custom sizes as far as I know, so you can't use that. I don't know if the paid version support that or not. DVD Shrink can do this, but you do understand that you will be massively compressing the DVD, don't you? You can expect the final output to be lower quality for sure. You can throw away the subtitles if you wish with DVD Rebuilder and DVD Shrink, but they take up such little space it's kind of like saving 1 cent on a 100 dollar purchase.

Yes I know of the quality. DVD Shrink only allows foe so much compression. At 100% it still only shrinks down to around at least 3.2 GB

Yep, why ask if you already know the answer? For example:

You've already been told how to get DVD Shrink to transcode it to a size that small. For DVD-RB it involves only adding a TargetSectors line in the INI file. Then you can lower the [s:2358aef382]quality[/s:2358aef382] size as much as you like. But shrinking a full DVD with menus and extras to below 2 GB is a pretty dumb idea, with DVD5 blanks being as cheap as they are. And if the idea is to fit 2 full DVDs onto one DVD5, I wonder how you plan on linking the 2 DVDs so you can actually choose and play them both? Do you have DVDRemake Pro?

DVD Rebuilder, reduce to Half D1. It might work.

hech54, relax, no one is arguing. Grow a skin. My main goal is to put these on a portable hardrive. I wanted to make them small enough to fit quite a bit on the drive. I guess the best answer id to make in an .avi. I was trying to keep the integrity of the disk intact. If it isn't feesable that's fine. I was just looking for some friendly advice.

By shtinking it, you've killed the integrity of the disc. Just decrypt as a single VOB and convert to MPEG without recoding or create an ISO.
