Windows Movie Maker

HI
I ve got windows movie maker and it works fine
taking a feed from sat box, sky box or video player etc
and I can make little movie clips.

The other side of the software however does nt work
ie putting in jpeg pics and audio music and transitions etc
and making little movies that way.
I dont think Im going to solve it as the software is bundled in
with a ton of other stuff from windows........ its not stand alone
so I cant delete it and reinstall.

Im wondering if theres some similar software out there that will
take in jpeg pics... audio etc and allow me to make up movies that way ?
