maybe i am just going crazy, but i have noticed since switching to Windows 7, my video files -> DvD conversions have seemed to slowed down by about 10minutes, from around 10 to 20. perhaps it is because I did not install drivers for my cpu/chipset when i upgraded? I'm not sure how much this would effect it.
anyone else noticed this?

You will need those mobo chipset drivers at least.
Go to your mobo support site and get Vista/Win7 drivers.Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

you didn't install the chipset drivers?!? what did you do, just use the drivers that came with win 7? install the latest chipset drivers (the proper drivers make a huge difference) and depending on how maby cores your cpu has use should also set the /numproc parameter to match (msconfig, under the boot options).Originally Posted by gooberguy
