Searching these forums and google for the past 3 hours to no avail hopefully someone can help me out with this

I have a tv show I recorded through WMC that i'm attempting to convert to divx for storage, however I have nothing that will do this directly and I have to first convert the wtv file to a dvr-ms file. this isn't a problem in windows 7 (build 7600) however when I run the dvr-ms file the audio is all messed up (it's just static) and I can't figure out why.

Does anyone know what might be causing this? or any ideas on what else I could use to convert the wtv file to another format?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How do you convert to dvr-ms? what software?

    Have you tried dvrmstoolbox?

And visit also http://thegreenbutton.com/forums/ , a good windows media center forum.

Right click > Convert to dvr-ms Format, checking out the forum now.

Also to add the files are 720p and 5.1 digital audio.

dvrmstoolbox doesn't help, converting from dvr-ms isn't the problem, the sound is fine as wtv it becomes static when converted to dvr-ms.

Is there a tool to demux wtv files?
