Hi, i have a 5 meter audio / video lead (The Yellow, Red and White one) going from my satellite box output into my PC so as i can capture a few music videos. Unfortunately, i can't move it closer, so i'm stuck with the longer lead.
The picture quality on my PC is pretty good but does anyone think that because i am using a 5 meter lead that the signal is being lost somewhat from the longer lead?
So... is there any kind of A/V Signal-booster that's available to be connected between the Sat' box and PC?
ie: Maybe i could use a 3 meter lead.....connect some kind of amplifier/signal-booster to that......then connect another 2 meter lead to this one and then into my PC's video capture card, making up the 5 meters i need.
    Thanks for reading.

Not a problem for composite video at 5m (~17 ft). Composite (NTSC or PAL) video can go well over 50ft before needing equalization. Audio (high impedance RCA) will have problems over about 5m. Audio will become noisy and attenuate unless well shielded and/or converted to low impedance.
