I was wondering if it possible for Window Media Center (MCE) to run executable files without the need for windows vista (background) running the executable file?

So far I have tried uploading the executable files through the web and make a mcl file for my MCE to run. It would try to run the .exe by going to the website I provided, but then it pop-up an eror saying that the url site required is not correct or either the program is not design for MCE.

    thanks

I would think not. You can't even port the Media Center app to a version of Windows that didn't have it to begin with. If there were an MSI of the app then there might be a way to thin-app it but I've never seen such a thing for Media Center. What it is you're really trying to do?

I was trying to run an nes emulator through MCE... I notice that one way is to run it through java, but it's super slow. Even with road runner power; it's heck a slow. I find standalone app would incr it's speed.
