Why partial filtering mess up the rest of the file?

Partial filtering works but rest of the non filter part get ruin.Why?
Sorry my bad.HERE..
using avidemux and reducing contract on some part of avi file and after encoding ,filtered part works but any non-filtered part become blur and can't even watch it.

What software are you using ?
What type of filtering ?
What do you mean by ruined ?
