Black bar on bottom of Windows Media Player 11

I have a black bar at the bottom of WMP 11 that I can not get rid of. It is on all videos no matter the aspect ratio. I have tried checking and unchecking 'fit video to player on resize' and 'fit player to video on start' but it does not help. I attached a pic of what it looks like when I open a video. I am guessing it's a codec problem but I don't know how to fix it.

Has it always been like this?
Have you recently installed any codec packs or other video software? then try uninstall it.

It did just start. I was trying to stream to a Direct TV receiver with TVersity. I installed the Combined Community Codec Pack and the Haali Media Splitter. But I have had those installed for weeks without a problem until now. I did uninstall the CCCP, Haali Media Splitter, and the TVersity codecs but there was no change. I don't see anything left over in the program files folder.
