sony DAV-DZ100 Firmware update problem

Hey Guys!
I am having a problem in updating the firmware which i have got from this LINK and I followed the burning instruction using TDK CD-R placed in on the root and burned it at 8x(won't go below this) using nero. After loading it just says "no audio data no image data" and thats it nothing more happens.
Can anyone help me solve this problem. I want to play Xvid files and I think after upgrading it can play anything.
Please help!!!

Burn as a data disc with ImgBurn.

hech54's advice is what you should do. It sounds like you didn't burn properly and your player can't recognize the disc. However, I want to warn you that it is extremely unlikely that any firmware update will turn on any missing playback features. If your player can't already play Divx files, there's is almost no chance that any firmware update will fix that.
