Hi. I got this avi video file that plays fine on MPC/VLC. I want to separate audio from video so I can edit the audio.
When opening it in Vegas, only a small portion of the audio appears, the rest is silence. If I try to demux it or save it as wav in VDub (audio is VBR), it comes out with the final 3 minutes missing and totally out of sync.
I opened the avi in Goldwave and saved the audio as mp3 to edit it in Vegas, but it came out with those 3 minutes missing again.
I installed Lame ACM MP3 codec and AC3 Filter but no luck.
What should I do?
Thanks in advance.

Maybe it's damaged?
You can try divfix . There is a newer version here:
http://divfixpp.sourceforge.net/
Or try demux audio or save as wav with avidemux
Or try opening AVI with an avs script, and use soundout() , or feed the script into vdub
