Thanks a lot, Bahman, I'm working on them now, quick questions:

    1. Why are the links segmented?
    2. What method did you use to get the links?

    Thank you once again

^1. There is no difference between this method and one long link! just in this method, you can understand what are app path and play path!!
    2. Manual Way!! btw, also you need a USA proxy/vpn to do this method!!

  4. Hi all,

I used RTMP explorer to capture the video at -
    http://www.moshcam.com/clutch-pt-1-bakerton-group/metro-theatre-2.aspx#/1-1906

But when I try to play the saved .flv file (with VLC) it tells me that "VLC does not support the audio or video format "undf". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this."

Am I doing something wrong? I have successfully saved other videos from Mosh Cam.

    Thanks!

I downloaded the streamtransport here and it worked without problems in VLC.

  7. hi guys, I came across this site and used the rtmpExplorer to capture streaming flash videos from Digital Tutors webpage, it was working great then around half way through the video set (30 Videos in Total), the format stoped converting and is now only downloading the .flv format which wont play. To begin with working videos worked with WMP,Real Player etc but once it stopped working no player will open the files, the error 'undf'.

just to add, IE is up to date as well as Java, Flash Player is there anything ells I need to update/need maybe?

Results with Orbit + FF-12 were negative (just showing some small .SWF files, which is useless); YTF script also negative. [Netflix says "Download Links Not Available."] Haven't tried other options, yet.

The first and the last option for youtube's rtmpe streams is GetFLV!!

Then something must have changed over at YT. Until fairly recently, the simpler methods I mentioned had been working for me.

  17. Hi Bahman,

I have question about Whiteshark. I used Whiteshark to sniff rtmp link and the auth link for ITV. I tried the same method for 4oD and Demand 5 but no luck. Could you show me how this could be done for those both channels?. I used rtmpexplorer but it only download video with low bitrate and I used Whiteshark to get highest bitrate.

ka6_jeram, After you got low bitrate video command for rtmpdump, edit and put the highest bitrate video path in the command, then run it!! better than nothing!!

  21. hey,
at the moment I'm trying to get some of the arte streams of the hellfest festival but it doesn't seem to work.
For example the lockup show located on http://liveweb.arte.tv/de/video/Hellfest_Lock_Up/.
URL snooper shows me the rtmpt://arte.fcod.llnwd.net/a2306/o25 and rtmp://arte.fcod.llnwd.net:1935/a2306
and when I download the rtmpt it downloads a 0kb .flv file and when I use the rtmp it downloads nothing.
it shows the error: "you must specify a playpath.........."
but if the playpath isn't "a2306" what else could it be?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot

Download this package and extract it into one folder, then open rtmpexplorer. will be opened 2 windows(rtmpexplorer+rtmpsrv)!! close rtmpsrv and open rtmpsuck! put the webpage link in rtmpexplorer, then you will see rtmpsuck detects the stream url and tries to download that!!

The only problem I have now it that it doesn't download the complete show. the show was 45:12 minutes and it quit after 34:48. There is an error message at the end saying: ERROR: RTMP_ReadPacket, failed to read RTMP packet header
ERROR: Request timeout/select failed, ignoring request.
    Closing connection... done!

    thanks for your help

Hi, I subscribe to a couple of streaming movie sites, but sometimes it is more convenient for me to download a movie to my laptop and watch it later, for example when I am on the road and the hotel I am at either has no free wi-fi, or no wi-fi at all. After doing a lot of Googling I tried the trial version of Replay Capture Suite. The trial version limits you to recrording just 2 minutes of a stream, but it worked perfectly on the test movie I chose. So I bought the full product, $79. HOWEVER, the full version refuses to record the stream, (of that same movie) or any other stream from that site (and a number of other pay video sites), as it generates a pop-up that says that it might be infringing copyright, and so refuses to record. It goes on to say that the only way to 'legally' record the movie is to use another product in the suite, a screen recorder, that produces much lower resolution copies, full of stop/starts and stuttering throughout.

I also tried two freeware products, Tubedigger and StreamTransport, but they require you to enter the URL of the movie site in their own GUI, and when I log in to my subscription sites, and try to select the movie to watch, it fails, with a 'Script error on page' (Expected identifier, string or number) dialog in both products, the embedded flash player never appears (just a blank space, with 'You need Adobe Flash installed' above it). Logging in via any browser (IE, FF, Chrome) does not produce any script errors, and the embedded flash player appears no problem.

I then downloaded the RTMPExplorer package, and URLSnooper. URLSnooper reported a *.swf file URL whenever I opened a movie to watch, and an rtmpe file url. The files were of the form:

    h t t p://abcde4567.somesite.com/member/ninja/player/4feb3b5808bd54feb3b5808c0e_4feb3b5808bd5.swf

    and

    rtmpe://somesite.com/moviegenre

I opened RTMPExplorer, closed rtmpsvr and opened rtmpsuck, then pasted the *.swf url into RTMPExplorer and prayed. No luck, nothing happened.

Anyone any ideas what to try next?
