  2. Hey

I need help with this video: http://launch.vidaroo.com/20377

I tried to download it but I got the message : blocked by authorization adaptor

I think it's protected somehow but I don't know how to bypass it. Is there any possibility to download that video?

  7. How do you get RTMP to download a file to a different folder / drive ? Up to this point I've only been able to download to X: drive directly. I've searched the program high and low, looked online for any tid bit of information regarding this and I'm left empty ?

  17. Hey guys! I am trying to download a very difficult live stream here. The only thing I managed to download it with was Replay Media Catcher, but it only detects the low-quality stream. Basically there are streams of various qualities at the same time, and the custom flash player of that site gives us the option to select the quality, and then changes the stream. The default quality is the lowest, thats why RMC only rips that one.

url of the LOW QUALITY stream:
    Code:
    rtmp://edge.fms.globo.com:1935/bbb/_definst_?h=0401357499507850188366413574994131479127775nlINh82TgGRnjSs4K7/QEw
(given by the Replay Media Catcher progress window)

url I got from URL Snooper:
    Code:
    rtmp://edge.fms.globo.com/bbb/_definst_/casavidro_464_750_1264_1864_2564_3564
I have tried a few arguments via rtmpdump, too. Here is one of them:
    Code:
    "C:\RTMP\rtmpdump.exe" -r "rtmp://edge.fms.globo.com/bbb/_definst_/casavidro_464_750_1264_1864_2564_3564" -W "http://s.videos.globo.com/p2/player.swf" -v -o "C:\Users\NYX\Desktop\Main\Recorded Videos\misc_extracted\inprogress\vd2.flv"
To watch the stream live: http://tvg.globo.com/bbb/bbb13/index.html
(I could not find the link of the "window" page that opens via javascript in the page. To actually open the stream, you need to click the image on the page with the small blue "play" icon).

I always managed to download a lot of tricky streams quite easily, but this one is giving me some headaches.

EDIT: Managed to download it using RTMPDumpHelper, it automatically used the right argument (much more complex than I thought). It starts recording on low-quality but switches to high quality once i switch. It seems that RTMPDumpHelper "updates" the downloading to whatever is being played at the moment and not just hangs on to what it gets at first. Still I would like to know the URL of the HD version of this stream!

Anyone know how I can get the stream URLs for the streams on this site? I'd like to use RTMPDump to play them live in VLC. I'm not seeing anything resembling a stream URL in URLSnooper2.

OK. I was able to get the info for one of the streams using rtmpsuck.

    Code:
    D:\Programs\rtmpdump-2.3\rtmpdump.exe -r "rtmp://198.105.220.36/stream" -f "WIN 11,5,502,135" -W "http://www.liveflash.tv/resources/scripts/eplayer.swf" -p "http://www.liveflash.tv/embedplayer/ajdbadadaabdad/1/500/400" --live -y "MSNBC" -o "D:\temp\video.flv"
It says "INFO: connected" and sits there for a minute, then it exits.

Seems to be steady requests for this . . . and a few other such items I can think of.

I'm wondering: is there some reason why there is an "Older Versions" link here in the Tools Section for many programs, but not for others ? (With a lot of the former now having direct links hosted at VH.)
This often comes in very handy.
Is it a situation where the developers of certain programs have expressly forbidden this ?

Hello again people. I am returned to 180 degrees now!!!
There is several reasons, that I have to use RTMPDump! Many Thanks to developer for this unique program, it is really the most amazing software! I use it together with RTMPExplorer.
    1. I found the reason for one time downloading. We have to go in Internet Options in our IE browser and delete ActiveX filtering and security...
    2. I like RTMPDump, because it is the only software that work under Windows 8.
    3. I noticed that paid software like GetFLV corrupt or encode somehow the video source, it does not download the proper video source. It show us wrong protocol and the beginning always freeze for the moment at starting video! Also it can't download long video lengths. And... this was for Windows 7. For Windows 8 there is no support!
    4. I found the way to change video stream to HQ. Just before starting use your Internet Explorer browser and open video stream in HQ. It will remember this option and then RTMPExplorer will use this HQ by default!
MANY THANKS to this developer!!!! THANK YOU! I love You!

    . . . .
I was nearly certain that your original statement could not be right, and I said so at the time. Part of your problem likely stems from the use of MS Internet Exploder. There are plenty of other browser options. IE is typically the last one I reach for, and even then very reluctantly. (A major reason would be those occasional pages that are formatted in such a way that only IE displays them correctly. And that reflects a very stupid choice on the part of whoever created the page.) Why you would need IE for video stuff escapes me, especially given the huge amount of Add-Ons that exist for FireFox.
