You can try to use YOUTUBE-DL instead. The inbuilt HLS downloader [hlsnative] supports resume. If it aborts, simply rerun the command.

Hi, I'm not interested in the video, but just to learn something I tried to download the video with the tools and methods I know. I tried for hours and failed. Hopefully some expert will come on-line and explain how to do it.
Just as a test, I have an old copy of WM Capture (about 2007). I was surprised that it installed and seemed to work on this Windows 10 public computer. So I recorded the video (screen capture). Since this is a public computer, the sound had to go through the microphone input, and you can hear babies in the library crying.

Can someone achive resume downlad with rtmpdump? It says "Doesn't have required frame" and stop downloading, but download a couple of percentage anyway. I checked and video looks goods after it, longer without stuters. So if download a little. and then again a little and again. just need over and over start it. why it interrupts? I did try skp frames with -k switch but doesn't help.

Hi, I need help please, can anyone tell me how to download videos protected by the vzaar.com platform? And probe programs like tubedigger, jdownloader, streamtransport, apowersoft.es and others and none worked. There are 200 videos that I want to download and one of the videos is this:

What I want to do is to stream it as continous HTTP stream for my old LG TV.
I thought that I could be able to wrap it into CGI script with rtmpdump / msdl or something else that will print mime-type and put the stream to stdout in HTTP stream for TV (like I've done with other RTSP streams from other TV service provider using MSDL for this TV.

I have tried to download an episode of a show from CBC.ca

I am in USA and the first thing I noticed is that you can't watch it outside of Canada. I went to the public library. I had to work fast because of the limited time on the computer. I found a VPN, but I can't remember what actually got the CBC stream to play. I did two things.
1) I installed this vpn thing:
https://cdn4.hola.org
2) I installed the Firefox vpn addon:
https://hola.org/firefox

Well, one of those above things allowed me to watch the video with Firefox.
I tried to download the video with the Firefox Download Helper addon (3 balls), but I only could seem to download the advertisements.
I did get this URL, however from the Firefox Download Helper:

however, I got an error message when I put it into youtube-dl. I also used URL Snooper but I didn't know what to search for.
I did get this:

but I got an error message when I put that in livestreamer. Problem is, I don't know how to have a Canada proxy when using command line livestreamer or youtube-dl.
Finally I used the free screen capture software:

to screen capture the video.

I also fiddled around a bit with the URL, changing the v5 to v7 to get the 720 stream:

I threw the URL into an app called Wondershare and it downloaded a 1.16gb mp4 file which doesn't seem to open with either VLC or Quicktime, so I'm thinking that is may be an encrypted stream?

Here is a big question. Since I am in USA, I can't use the commands you gave (I think) because I am geoblocked. Do you know if there is some kind of code that I can add to your command to make it seem like I am in Canada? You can see in my above post about the Hola vpn, but I think that only works in the browser, not in the command line. (See below screenshot to see error message when I tried both of your youtube-dl commands.)
One other thing. That is useful how you combined the video and audio with a plus sign (4551+AACLC-2_0-English). I didn't know you could do that.
