Weren't you a big fan of Tubedigger ? But no longer ? (I have not been back to this thread for quite some time.)
I'm curious about whatever happened to Blader / Coojah --> MediaBox ? No longer developed (?), and no longer mentioned in the Tools section here.
I'll have to catch up on what folks are using for sniffers & capture these days, for whatever may have changed on that score, and hope that it is not still so technical that I can't follow the discussion -- as has happened in the past.When in Las Vegas, don't miss the Pinball Hall of Fame Museum http://www.pinballmuseum.org/ -- with over 150 tables from 6+ decades of this quintessentially American art form. -
Could anyone help me to download this video

Many thanks. -
i still use TubeDigger everyday just don't have access to any working IR proxy/socks that's why i need help

Hi All,
I'm having difficultly downloading a stream (i can play it fine though).
The stream I'm trying to download is from: http://link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid1157906439001?bckey=AQ~~,AAAAu-f-8Kk~,...=4565066463001 . (i hope this plays outside australia)
I have tried everything, the closest i got was with Livestreamer, using the following code:
livestreamer "hds://http://cricketauus-lh.akamaihd.net/z/1sttest051115_1@124724/ manifest.f4m?__nn__=3575383436001&hdnea=st=1466555 400~exp=1466557200~acl=/z/*~hmac=41cb8ec4184acff8890eb80e1b5838506981ee5b7f4 74009575f0fe3e3a51333 pvswf=http://79423.analytics.edgesuite.net\/csma\/brightcove\/BrightcoveCSMALoader.swf" best -o Aus-V-NZ.flv
However, when i tried this, it comes up with (403 Client Error: Forbidden), and seems no matter what i do, i can't get around it.
Can anyone help? -
Hello,
First off, I'm not a lowest common denominator impatient that asks, "someone help me", doesn't even know how to click on an icon and uses Windoze. Please don't reply, 'use (enter give-me-money app with really big buttons here)'
I'm a computing pro who's comfortable around Darwin, Fedora, CentOS, and the like, and have a degree in Computer Science.
Here's the problem.
if you visit the following link in Chrome, then immediately right-click on the video, choose inspect, and click on the network tab, you will see that what the streaming server does is chop up the video into individual 1.8 MB .TS files, as it streams the video out:
https://www.yahoo.com/celebrity/video/yo-ferris-bueller-beauty-today-180000767.html
This is why simple, eeeeaasssy apps that *claim* to be able to download yahoo videos from URLs like this won't work. Cutting and pasting one of the URLs to one of the TS files into a blank web page, then opening it in a browser and Save As...'ing the URL will only download a TS file that contains a few seconds of the entire video.
What I think I probably need is a RTMPDUMP or FFMPEG script that will detect each .TS file and grab it in real time, stitching them together as they come in, and then finally dump all the stitched-together .TS files into 1 single .MP4 file.
If a tutorial to what I want to do is too complex to post here, can someone at least post a reply with a URL that points me to a really good article on TS files, TS streaming, and TS file splitting, like screen Yahoo does. So I can understand how this works.
Thank you,
GrampaD -

...This is the SWEETEST video tool I've ever seen. It even worked on Brightcove! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
UPDATE, 04-11-2018:
youtube-dl has made me so happy I've decided to give back to the community. The following scripts
show you how POWERFUL youtube-dl is, especially when used with other tools in scripts. These scripts assume that you
have ffmpeg, sox, bash, and perl installed on your system. All of this is for tech geeks and it pros only, for they will
understand it. I plan to port the scripts to WSH VBscript (someday).
----------------------------------------------------------------------
) bash script to download and process an entire music playlist:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
#!/bin/bash
#download and process a single playlist (album)
# google search query syntax:
# " albumName " "playlist?list=" [["artistName - topic"] [+inurl"/channel/")]] site:youtube.com
youtube-dl -ci urlOfPlaylist
# convert to mp3 44x128, normalize, then delete the processed video. the loop will execute at least once even if a file doesn't exist,
# which confuses sox. So we have to test for file existence. the word 'then' MUST be on the next line; it's a bash quirk. '&&' means only
# do the next command if the previous command worked.
for i in *.mkv *.mp4 *.webm; do
if [ -f "$i" ]
then
name=`echo $i | cut -d'.' -f1`;
ffmpeg -i "$i" -ar 44100 -b:a 128k -f mp3 pipe:1 | sox --type mp3 --norm - "${name}.mp3" &&
rm "$i";
fi
done
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
) bash script to download and process an artist's entire discography:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
#!/bin/bash
# 2-dimensional array of defining the discography. Column 1 is the album name; column 2 is the playlist URL.
# At my current skill level I have to do it like this because bash doesn't support multi-D arrays.
# Why for the love of mike that's true when WSH vbscript and .net ps scripts do support multi-D arrays is beyond me.

UPDATE: PROBLEM SOLVED!!! Thank you kind benefactor, everything works. I would like to express my sincere and deep gratitude. Many, many kind regards
Hello everyone,
I've been trying to download videos from Vzaar. After you register and buy a subscription, you gain access to the videos. But unfortunately you can't download them, because the site uses a stream. The videos are streamed via the Vzaar vz player. Vzaar is an online video hosting service that supports video streaming, embedding, sharing, and video storage.
I've been trying many techniques described here on the forum, but I was unable to download the videos. I managed to locate the video URL in the page source code.
The video is in .m4v format, but you cannot download it. The Vzaar site gives you this message "This video is not accessible. Code: DCP". The DCP code means this: "The DCP tell us that domain control has prevented access to the download link. For domain control to permit a request, it must have a HTTP_REFERER header which matches an entry on your whitelist. In other words, the link will work if it's placed on your website. However, if you request the download from elsewhere, the request will be blocked for not matching your security whitelist."
Is there any way to download videos from Vzaar? Or some kind of solution to download the video without the use of screen capturing software?
Any help is much appreciated.
CheersLast edited by Rockshow2oo8; 28th Jun 2016 at 14:27. Reason: The issue is solved.

Strictly for YT content, I've been using 'Download YouTube Videos as MP4' extension (currently v. 1.8.7), for some time now. Should be located via a search in FF Extensions. They also list this URL
https://github.com/gantt/downloadyoutube
though that seems to point to a script version. There are various others out there, but this has been more than sufficient for my usage, and very straightforward. I lean to preferring a built-in solution like this, as opposed to some external program, esp. one that is CLI. However, FLV support went away, there may be some things this one cannot do, and the vast majority of extensions may be in great jeopardy by the time FF 48 rolls out next November.When in Las Vegas, don't miss the Pinball Hall of Fame Museum http://www.pinballmuseum.org/ -- with over 150 tables from 6+ decades of this quintessentially American art form. -
Some things have changed and now I need to find another method to attain this video file. I have found the rtmp link but rtmpdump does not work for it (perhaps I am using an incorrect command line):
rtmp://mulo-media.lib.edit.edu/echo/_definst_/1621/2/4586f1fa-3145-406f-9bf4-068715a555a7/audio.flv
I have tried splitting the command line like so but to no avail:
-r "rtmp://mulo-media.lib.edit.edu/echo/_definst_/" -a "echo/_definst_/" -y "1621/2/4586f1fa-3145-406f-9bf4-068715a555a7/audio.flv" -o "C:\Downloads\audio-video.flv" (it just hangs/freezes at 0%: https://forum.videohelp.com/images/imgfiles/plZrYzW.png)
Any help would be great, thanks. -
Could you PLEASE help me downloading this video:
http://www.vh1.com/video-clips/l52pbu/dating-naked-dating-naked-playing-for-keeps-episode-5-bloopers
Ive tried a search here and can't seem to find a solution how to rip these.
Thanks in advance -
usa ip or proxy needed to see the stream link
once you have the stream link any ip will do
use the firefox addon
httpfox
start the stream and httpfox
in httpfox search for master.m3u8
you will see only one link
copy that link
paste that link in a firefox browser
you will get an option to save it
or use livestreamer
livestreamer "hlsvariant://link-here" best -o C:\out.flvLast edited by bobit; 12th Jul 2016 at 13:57.

Hello!
I found this site and want to download their videos to watch them offline.
One of their videos can't be downloaded. I tried many softwares and none worked.
Please tell me if there's a way to download it. The video in this link http://bazelecontabilitatii.ro/cele-4-video-lectii/lectia-1/notiuni-introductive
Thank you! -
