  1. I downloaded rtmpexplorer from here, https://www.videohelp.com/tools/RTMPExplorer

MD5 Checksum of the exe file
    b9061d454f17e27ea1519369b2850036

    rtmpexplorer requiring Flash (portuguese)...
    Name: Flash.png
Views: 12714
Size: 4.5 KB

But I had already run it without problem here, before I recovered my system from scratch. I guess it's something about conflicting versions or something about libs or registry entries. I don't think is related with the exe file.
    Thank you.

How did you know that? I never use IE, just Firefox (7.0.1). My IE is 8.0.6001. I also have Chrome 14, but it has the same behaviour of Firefox, I mean, show the flash without problem.

    Then:
    Firefox 7 - OK
    Chrome 14 - OK
IE 8 - Requires flash install
    rtmpexplorer - Requires flash install

How to rtmpexplorer get the Firefox and Chrome examples and do accept that installation?
    Thank you.

rtmpexplorer uses IE for exploring the webpages!!
Chrome is based on sth and doesn't need Adobe flash player!!

Did you download adobe flash player ActiveX too(is only for IE)? or you have downloaded only flash plugin (that's for firefox and other browsers except IE)?
Try this and report problem if you have again:
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_flashplayer_ie/

    Wonderful explanations!

Sorry because I stayed away from computer/internet all day and could not send reports. Now, I installed the standalone version of FlashPlayer and rtmpexplorer is running fine (finally!).

But it brought an error message trying to download this page:
    http://www.digitaltutors.com/11/training.php?vid=12880&autoplay=1

    Name: rtmpexplorer.png

And what? I'm trying to get the strings and parameters to give to rtmpdump or try to download just with rtmpexplorer itself.
In fact, I'm trying to learn and understand better how do you get that long strings with url and rtmpe video files. It's only exercises for better understand the workflow to download those "hidden" videos, not the video itself is important.

Not only me, but if you could point some "first cares" how to act when facing rtmp videos, we would learn a lot. Many people who come to this thread is because they do not master the technics and do not know the right directions. Some lines explaning such things would be great.
    Thank you.

  7. XaKePXah, I'm not sure, but it seems you're facing the same problem than me, lately. Try to remove %% and put only one %, like this:
    Code:
    rtmpdump -r "rtmpe://fun.now.mn:1935/vod" -a "vod/" -W "http://fun.now.mn/flowplayer/flowplayer.securestreaming-3.2.3.swf" -T "#ed%h0#w@1" -y "mp4:clip/Ansu_Gantulga_-_Zahidal.hd.mp4" -o "Ansu Gantulga - Zahidal HD.flv"
I don't know why, but it worked for me. Maybe Bahman could give more explanations.
    Thank you.

I got that error too!! It's the problem of their flash client!! don't mind!!
If you use rtmpexplorer, you can get those strings automatically! if didn't work, try rtmpexplorer+rtmpsuck(not rtmpsrv)!! Will does the trick!!

    anyway look at this:
    Code:
    http://www.digitaltutors.com/11/gateway/training.php?action=GetVideoData&videoid=13192
    Code:
    {"success":true,"msg":{"streamingvideo_url":"rtmpe:\/\/cp86046.edgefcs.net\/ondemand\/bisonvp\/bison_courses\/640\/640-1-h.flv?auth=daEcpcSaWbicMdnaFcBaIb_aKa7bfa5dxdr-bpo8wy-4q-7pFC6BFqzxq&aifp=v006&slist=bisonvp\/bison_courses\/640\/640-1-h","email":"websited35c8fd@digitaltutors.com","token":"d35c8fd0838eb1a995c97284d87c5fe7","domain":"www.digitaltutors.com","preventMarking":"true"}}
As you see, you can done it manually too!! You have all parameters values!!
notice: each time you open that url, you will get new auth string!! each auth string can be used only for 5min after generated!! After 5min that "auth string" is dead and you will be rejected from server!!

Hmm.. Dunno where to start!!! but when you face rtmp/e vids, you should try some software like Coojah, rtmpexplorer, StreamTransport!! finally one of them will be able to detect link!

If you want to run rtmpdump via batch script, you have to add another "%" too!! but if you run rtmpdump in any another way, you should use exact/original securetoken which is "#ed%h0#w@1"!!

I run it from command line prompt. As I understand, command line needs only one % and the command.bat needs double %%. Right?

if you use Coojah or Wireshark, you can track send/receive packets!! So, it's one of the urls between them!

Forget that error!! it's just misbehaving of the flash client and nothing more! It doesn't effect on anything!!
How to download the vid? Easy!! try to writing a script with parameters (r,a,W,y and o) and then input those values that you have seen in that URL!!

One of the Coojah .DLLs keeps getting flagged by Avast (as a Trojan of some kind, IIRC), but I disregard that, believing it to be a false positive. Also, I think Coojah has not been updated in quite some time, so I hope it is still being developed, since I consider it a good item to have in the toolbox.

I submited all CooJah DLL's to VirusTotal. The last one, URLSniffer.dll, was flagged as some kind of Riskware, as reported here.
I'm not sure, but would be good to hear other people with more experience about viruses.

    Edited:
As Bahman said, it IS some kind of trojan. But I believe, a trojan working for us.
    Thank you.

Yes, that was the .DLL in question. Avast rated the risk as "Low" however. (Many keygens get a much worse rating, probably because of how they work. Could be a similar deal here.) I'm not concerned. There are tradeoffs with a lot of things.

I've been trying to save the video on this page:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AV3qSurleFo
    and haven't had any luck.

Normally anything on youtube is easy, but even with cooljah, URLSnooper and Stream Transport I can't find the URL. Why is this one so different from everything else on youtube?

^As I said before, Youtube uses RTMPE Protocol with Handshake 10 for streaming movies & TV Shows!! only GetFLV supports Handshake 10!! rtmpdump & StreamTransport still don't support it!

Hopefully someone can help me with this. I'm a registered user at Digital Tutors. I'm trying to use rtmpdump to capture the streams, but when I do download a stream, I'm unable to play the flv as it's somehow corrupted. I've used VLC, GOMplayer and other media players but nothing seems to work. I'm using rtmpdump 2.4 on Windows 7 x64, as well as the latest rtmpExplorer, by the way.

The strange thing is that when I'm logged out and download the free videos, they download completely and I'm able to play them without any problem. It's only when I'm logged in and I download that I get the corrupted videos. Is anyone else having this problem?

  27. Please, Bahman, what is going on with this video I cannot find the correct url?

    http://g1.globo.com/ceara/noticia/2012/03/professor-cria-vila-de-estilo-europeu-no-ser...-turistas.html

    StreamTransport detect this:
    http://flashvideo.globo.com/h264/tvvm/1//ce_tv_primeira_edicao_juazeiro_do_norte/2012/...W5y+CKDcSUoksg.

but it fail to download. Log says:
    Code:
    Download: Task failed.
Download: Internal error occurred in CURL, the error message is "HTTP response code said error."
rtmpexplorer always shows the video and no activity on rtmpdump or rtmpsuck.

Firefox DownloadHelper could get this site videos in the past, but not now.

And Coojah is running wrong on my system. Always blank screen (maybe Malwarebytes is blocking the use of the program, I'm not sure).

    Any clues?

Please, if you show the steps to get the correct url to use with rtmpedump would be cool.

    Thx

If that's the case, how do I circumvent it?
