Thank you, IDTox. I was using an old version of IDM and it could not grab the video. Download button appears, but no video comes.

Hello, just discovered this forum.
I am trying to download a jwplayer flash video from my university site which is a recording of a lecture. To access this video, you must have a link. It directs you to a university site with a jwplayer video. Once you have that link, anyone can watch it (I'd rather not post it publicly).
This is where it gets interesting. When the page loads, jwplayer plays a 3-second video that is simply a picture. No matter where I click in the seekbar, I cannot watch anything other than this picture/video. After the 3 seconds, the video recording appears and you can seek anywhere in the player.
This is different from most other video sites in that I can usually go to the page source and find the raw video link. None exists for this page. The next thing I try is Google Chrome -> go to site -> open developer tools -> Network and then sort by size whereby the video link is usually the first result. Again, this doesn't work.
Does anyone know what this security feature is called and how I can bypass it to download the video?

Urge, it is very common for an image (a selected still frame) from a video to be displayed before playback, or before the play button becomes available. However, since a month ago (or maybe even before that), I have to try StreamTransport many times before I can use it to download videos, it will then work for a few downloads within that same session, crash (ntdll crash) and then I have to go through the same process of start StreamTransport, reboot, if fail to download, start again, maybe reboot etc. Any idea what's wrong? (firewall/antivirus disabled). It happened on both my computers at home.
Windows 7 Professional 32bit and 64bit, StreamTransport 1.1.6.2 (14MB version) downloaded from StreamTransport website and this website. -

Streamtransport (14mb one) works, but it quits during the rmtp stream. The file it gets while running is great, but it won't stay running the full 2 hours to get the whole concert. I'm running Streamtransport in Sandboxie.
