I am new to Blu Ray and have been reading these forums to gather information but still have a few questions.
I'm not clear on the following:
1) Is it possible to make 1:1 backups of a copy protected, store bought Blu Ray movie and play it on a standalone player?
2) Is it possible to make some other kind of copy (shrinked, etc.) of a store bought Blu Ray movie, burn it on a BD-R and play on a standalone player?
Thank you. If this question has been asked before I'm sorry and could you point me to the correct thread as I have not been able to find it.

1. Yup. You can rip most blu-rays using with AnyDVDHD. Then just burn with Imgburn.
2. Yep, BD-ReBuilder can shrink, for example from a dual layer(50GB) to single layer BD-R or even DVD-9 sizes.
And your standalone blu-ray player must also support bd-r,bd-re.
