I'm having an issue with MKV subtitles with Xvid4PSP on Windows 7, when i convert to another format eg: MP4 it does not maintain the subtitles. I have the CCCP installed, the subtitle box is ticked when you go and configure the Video Decoder Configuration.
I do have a Vista system, this has no problem maintaining the subtitles when i convert. The settings that are set on this system (In Video Decoder Configuration) are identical to that of Windows 7.

Have i missed something or i have run into a compatibility issue?

    What xvid4psp version? latest unofficial?

You could also demux the sub from the mkv using mkvextract and then add it manually in xvid4psp.

The version I'm running is 5.037 official. I did try the latest unofficial but i ran into audio issues, it played the audio really fast when i would play the file in Xvid4PSP. So i stuck with 5.037
