SONY M2TS to La Cie Classic

Hi

I have a sony HD Camcorder which records and imports in M2TS, I can then change to MPEG2 using sony Picture Motion Browser Software but when I then join them and puty on the La Cie Classic hard drive I have no sound when i Play the Video ?

Is there an easier way to import clips from my Sony HD camcorder and play them eventually from a La Cie Classic Hard Drive ?
