URGENT! audioproblems with HV30

I have plugged in an external mic on my HV30 but I still get the sound from the internal cameramic. Im using a preamp in between, the juicedlinkas an external preamp.

how do I disconnect the internal cameramic and just get the sound from the external?

something wrong with your mic/amp. all that you need to do to use it is plug it in to the hv30. no power? bad pre-amp?

works now. cause the internal mic shall be turned off automatically when I stick something into the external mic jack right?.

seems to work now though. phuu

any recommended volumesettings on the hv30 for use with external mic?
