  1. Sorry folks, I know this has been covered ad-nauseum, but for the life of me I can't remember how to do it. Can someone point in the direction of the appropriate thread?

    Many thanks, Hech.

    Wanderlustus,

I don't think you need specific instructions for this task. Just use a program such as ImgBurn to burn it. Start-up ImgBurn, Select Write Files to Folder, select the VIDEO_TS folder, burn.

of course he meant write files/folders to a disc which you would know what he meant if you'd see it:

Kinda hard to miss it, ya know

Either you have older version, or you disabled the "ez-picker" startup option... both your own "fault"

  7. Oh yeah, I have an older version. Oops. 2.3.2.0

    Grabbing the update now. Thanks.

And yeah, it's obviously my own "fault," though I wasn't blaming anyone for anything. Except maybe myself for being so forgetful.

  8. And with the newer version everything is just grand. Burning as I write. Thanks for the help, and thanks Dere for the "humbling" experience.

    YW

    Once a while do:
    Help -> Check for update

Yeah, I know. It's not only ImgBurn, it's the same with all of them. It's been a while already since the "burning" technologies outperformed disc reading technology.

If I make few copies, I only verify the "archival" copy. That saves lot of time.

Turn off the Verify thing after this burn. You can trust ImgBurn to get it right the first time.
You can turn it off permanently in the options.

  13. Thanks again, folks. I was wondering about leaving the verify on, Hech. Should be safe to turn it off in mid verify, shouldn't it? It's been ages since I used the prog', but I'm fairly sure I had it turned off before.

Eh, bugger it. 6 mins to go, then I'll shut it off.

    Damn, I love this forum.

If you are using good media and ImgBurn, then auto verify may not be necessary, but I still use it anyway. Before I found out that not all DVD media is reliable, I had a few burns that apparently succeeded but failed verification. Since I don't often make multiple copies, I want to be certain my only one is accurate.
