    I'm SO tired of DVD's getting scratched and dirty. This seems like the next step in media.

    I don't want to run wires from my pc to TV or any of that mess. I want a standalone player I can plug a flash drive into and play the movie from it.

    Don't think so. Closest I know is the Philips 59xx plays Xvid from USB stick.

    ... although people are saying it won't read an .ifo file in order to play a DVD like it's meant to be played. I will continue reading about it.
