  1. How can I trim a file without any output configuration and no loss quality ?
I´m using vegas 9 but I dont want go to 'render as' and try to find the best configuration to renderize it.
The output file is near original but has some diferences.
I need a new file as original.

Unless it is DV AVI, you can do this in Vegas without re-encoding.

If you just need to trim the file (i.e. cut the ends off it) I would look to see if there is a simple freeware cutter in our tools section.

As much as I like Vegas, it's lack of smart rendering in most instances is a constant frustration.

For TOD files try MPEG Streamclip you may have to rename the suffix TOD to MPG
MPEGStreamclip will open and trim MTS files

Edit: according to Save As it supports the following file types
3GP, AIF, AIFF, ASF, AVI, AVR, DAT, DCD, DIVX, DV, DVC,
    FLV, JPEG, M2P, M2T, M2V, M4V, MOD, MOOV, MOV, MP4,

  8. I tried MPEGStreamclip 1.2 . It couldnt open MTS. error: 'File open error: unrecognized file type' and two buttons 'open anyway' and 'open' . I pressed 'open anyway' . I think the file is loaded but no image was showed. Only a grey window .

    Thanks
