I just picked up these discs from bestbuy.. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1134697746286

Wondering what speed I should burn at...?

I havent put them in my burner yet but im guessing I have a choice between 2.4x, 4x, and 6x?

Obviously I know I shouldnt burn at the max speed (6x) but between 2.4x and 4x what do you recommend?

In the past ive burned all DL discs at 4x but those discs had a max speed of 8x these however are 6x max speed and not sure if 2.4 would be too slow or 4x would be too fast...?

    Thank you for your help

Unless you have a crappy burner, burn them at 4X or 6X. I burn them at maximum speed and never have any problems with several burners. I would recommend ImgBurn for all DL burning, though.

And since this is a media question, moving you to our Media Forum.

  3. 4x is generally a good choice with your MKM001 media, but... Your guess may be moot. You may not have all of those burn speeds available, which depends on the drive model and firmware. For example I have two burners, a Lite-On and LG. My current Lite-On model will only burn MKM001 media at 2.4x. The LG will only burn them at 4x. So I don't have a 6x option, but maybe you do(?). You can run scans with Nero CD/DiscSpeed to get an idea of the burn quality at different speeds. Some of the newer faster drive models burn better at faster speeds.
