I want to backup dvd movie (main movie only) , size 6.5G or more to single layer dvd disc (4.3G)

Which way remains the best quality ?

for example, using dvdshrink makes 1 move only disc (compress rate = about 65%?)

Or I can reencode the main movie using automkv and make SL-DVD including mkv file.

But I don't know which remains the better quality (of course worse than original, I know).

    And, another question.

Automkv does not support windows 7 or 64 bit windows.

Are there any tool that can produce mkv and resize to single disc and support windows 7 64bit ?

DVD Rebuilder is another option if you want to produce a DVD playable on most set top players with usually better quality than DVD Shrink. Shrink is fine if you can use minimal 'shrinkage', but with higher percents, DVD Rebuilder is a better choice.

I'll let someone else answer the MKV question. MKV is generally more suited for computer playback.

    And welcome to our forums.
