Hello everyone,
I have a problem with subtitles and have found threads about this but not a solution.
Both the subtitles that I downloaded and subtitles that I made in Subtitle Workshop don't display properly
on video and DVD players. The subtitles are in Croatian and letters č; ć đ are displayed as è æ ð. Š and ž are okay.
The subtitles are in srt format but I have tried saving the ones I made in ssa and the same problem occurs.
The Subtitle Workshop is set to EastEurope and when I tried ANSI they were not shown correctly inside Workshop.
If someone can tell me how to fix this I'd be grateful as I don't know where else to look.
Thank you,
Ivana

Welcome atai
Check these settings ... the font being used must support those characters
Alt + s > Look > Program
Default is Tahoma 8 (centered)
ANSI : ANSI : DEFAULT ... saving in srt and ssa format is no problem here.
There are dvd players manufactured with issues which can be corrected either manually or by updated firmware.
