Error creating VCD

Hi all,

I tried converting a *.mp4 file to two-VCD. However the end result is "Failed".

I tried pasting the info to a text file but it is 8.6MB. THe maximum limit is 6MB. Which part of the info do you need to see to know what went wrong?

This is on a Mac and it looks like a path problem. Unfortunately for you, I don't do any video work on Macs so I can't help you. But it's more of a Mac problem than an ffmpegX problem. If you don't get any help in a day or two, ask a moderator such as Baldrick to move your post to our Mac forum.

[Case]

The log shows it is trying to process much more files than it needs to. Not sure why.

Try doing the process in two steps:
(1) Convert to VCD, disable authoring, disable file splitting (in Options). Check playback of the output .mpg file.
(2) Author just the .mpg file as VCD, using the Author tool (in Tools), enable file splitting (Auto split).
Much more control, and if something goes wrong, it will be easier to determine what and where in the process.
