    Hey,

I've got a Humax PVR 1000c with the swedish carrier ComHem and I'm trying to hook it up to my hdmi splitter in order to get channels in multiple rooms... but, it won't work! Splitting an HDMI from my PC works fine with the same setup and equiptment, but not from the HUMAX... So this is probably a trick from the service provider Comhem who wants me to buy multiple cards... bastards!

So basically, the question is if I somehow can hack the Humax PVR 1000c so it won't screw up the signal and I can enjoy my late night porn in every room of the house??

    Cheers,
    P

done that, but i'm not getting my hopes up, I think this sort of stuff isn't the specialty of people who frequent that forum... anybody got any suggesttions?

p.s. I've contacted both Comhem and Humax and they won't help!

  3. HDCP doesn't allow HMDI splitting. There are HDCP removal devices but they aren't cheap:

r u sure, because the splitter is HDCP compliant... wouldn't that mean that HDCP shouldn't be a problem?

    here, check it out: http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=101&cp_id=10113&cs_id=1011301&p_id=...1&format=6#faq

  5. I believe "HDCP compliant" means: If the HDCP stream says you're allowed to split it, you can. If it says you aren't allowed to split it, you can't.
