Hi, I need some advice on ripping DVDs. I have an Apple TV, an iPod Touch and an iPod Classic. I know that the likes of Handbrake can rip DVDs for all these devices individually but is there one overall setting that will produce a 'rip' that works on all three devices?

    Thanks
    Sean

Use the "Legacy iPod" setting. Often you may reduce the bitrate from the 1500 it suggests.

I use VisualHub, and the setting "Optimize: All Devices" works like a charm.
Just throwing that out for reference.

I got to mention that, if you're ripping from commercial DVDs, you'll need to have VLC installed in the same folder as Handbrake. Newer versions of Handbrake don't have the decryption capabiltiies any more but will now utilize VLC's libraries for this if Handbrake and VLC are in the same folder.

cannot RIP no, I use MTR for that.
I use Visualhub then to take MTR's output,
and make Ipod and AppleTV ready files.
