    heya

im having a strange issue where i cant burn mkv files straight to dvd with a menu
even though ashampoo burning studio 9 does recognise the mkv format.

i get the following error when i try to add a file

ashampoo burning studio 9 the file <name>
    format might not be supported

    i am using the

Burn Movies and Photos -> Create a DVD option
and in there it clearly shows when you try to add a video file that MKV is supported...

i have mkv codecs on my pc as i can watch mkv via wmp.

any ideas on what is going on? or what i can try to fix this?

It might not support all mkvs. I would just try another mkv to dvd converter like the free dvd flick or avstodvd.
