MKV to AVI program, hardsubbing program, adding subtitle to DVD Flick

1)is there any program that work like all to avi? all to avi work great but the subtitle noaday turn out really tiny for the tv screen viewing(even when i use the all to avi arial 28)so i was wondering if there was a program that convert just as well as alltoavi but with bigger subtitle.
2)a program to hardcord subtitle into avi or mkv
3)problem with DVD Flick subtitle conversion. for example, the original video is 30 min, i use dvd flick and add subtitle to it(changable subtitle), it become 2 min long -.-' when i convert wihtout the subtitle is 30 min long again, any help?
