    Guys, please help me...
    I have canon 5d mark 2 camera, and it shoots in 30fps. i need the best possible quality solution for converting it to 25fps (PAL)
    i have PC, so i can't use final cut pro. Instead, i use Vegas. Is there any good, if not PERFECT way to convert 30fps to PAL? all i heard is: there is no perfect way, it will be jerky, choppy, etc.
    Any advice, please?

    There is no good "perfect" way

    One option is to use after effects and pixel motion to interpolate frames. A free option is to use avisynth and mvtools (mflowfps or mvflowfps). Both suffer from artifacts generated from interploated frames, but at least they are not as choppy as simple decimation

  4. If it can be interlaced, like for DVD, I'd drop fields:

    AssumeTFF()
    Yadif(Mode=1,Order=1)#or your favorite smartbobber
    ChangeFPS(50)
    AssumeTFF()
    SeparateFields()
    SelectEvery(4,0,3)
    Weave()

    That's about the smoothest and most artifact free you'll get. Unless you're open to blending it, which I'm not. As poisondeathray says, there is no perfect way.
