I got error when tried import .m2v file into TDA 2.1.x:

"Clip GOP length is too long for a DVD-Video.
The GOP length of the clip 'XXX' in the track 'YYY' exceeds the DVD-Video standard maximum.
The DVD-Video standard maximum GOP length is ZZZ frames.
You can ignore this message if you are building an XDVD."

    How to handle this issue?

And problem with another file: can no import .m2v, TDA show error that the file is incompatible. Though file format is OK, PAL.

Another question: how to get rid of the thumbnail images in a TDA menu templates? I use custom made menu which is created from the selected elements(templates), but each template in top & track menu has thumbnail image. I want just text based menu, without any images.

    1. Ignore it. It will probably work fine in most players. But how are you making the m2v?

    2. We need MORE information then just PAL. Are you mixing NTSC and PAL? Or are you mixing different audio or resolutions in same track? Then make separate tracks/VTS. Or else give the full details from the m2v(use mediainfo).

Will this cause re-encoding? I got m2v file after demuxing VOB in DGindex.

Video format is PAL, I'm not mixing NTSC and PAL. Each clip is in separate track. I opened problematic m2v file in GSpot 2.70a, it show some info:

    Size: 204 MB (209,218 KB / 214,239,844 bytes)
    Container: MPEG Elementary Video << { 1 vid }
    Codec: MPEG2 Name: MPEG-2

    IPBS 8% 25% 67%

    BB: 2 max II: 12 max; N=12, M=3 (100%)

    Pic/s: 25.000 Frames/s: 25.000 Fields/s: 50.00

    Len: 3:50.000 Frms: 5,750 kbps: 7732 Qf: 0.746

    Resizing

    1 None, already DVD format
    2 None, already DVD format
    ----------------
But when try to import this m2v, TDA show error:

    "Invalid video file.
The DVD-Video standard accepts the video formats below only.
    MPEG-1 video, MPEG-2 video."

    1. I'm not sure. I just use TDA 1.6. But you will notice if it reconverts the video...it takes much longer to author.

    2. It looks fine. But you can try "repair" the m2v, open in for example videoredo and use the quickstream fix or try run it through a mpeg2 editor like mpg2cut2 and make a new m2v.

It taken near 8 min to author dvd (12 tracks/2.09Gb), not sure has it re-encoded video or not.
