My DVD Rom Stopped playing DVDs

Hi all..
I ripped my first dvd a week ago, since that time my DVD Rom is not working. I can read all CDs but not DVDs. I downloaded SmartRipper, DVD2AVI and TMPGEnc and used only this software. I'm pretty sure that there is something that i didn't know about ripping and something what messed up my DVD Rom..
If somobody know what i'm talking about, please let me know what i should.
I still can rip DVDs but not play them nomore..

Do you by any chance have InCD or any other UDF software installed?

This happened to me. My DVD-rom could read cds but could not play DVDs. Only way I could play a DVD was to reboot my pc with the DVD already in the drive. I got back the capability to play DVD any time when I uninstalled InCD. I don't know if InCD was the cause of my problem but I'm not complaining. I can play back DVDs again.

to be honest i dont know what InCD or UDF software is..I tried reboot my comp with DVD in inside, but it didn't work. I'm gonna try to reinstall my all DVD players, if you have an recomendation for a stable DVD players, let me know..
Hopefuly, we'll figure out what to do...
