I am sure this has been asked many times over but I couldn't find the answer to my question on the site. I have a Canon T1i. I shot some footage in 720p on it and put it into my Adobe Premiere CS4 ( about 12 gb worth of footage ). I can't get my playback to work very well. At best it is jumpy but most of the time it just doesn't show anything. Then my computer locks up and the program closes... any ideas why? I have a Dell Inspiron 530 with 3GB memory and a Quad-core Processor so I don't think the computer should be struggling this much.

what does mediainfo say about your files? use text mode, copy paste here if you would. mjpeg 30fps? when you import them into cs4 what are the file properties that pp reports?
a small sample to look at might help. post to a filesharing site.--

I will have to do that when I get back to editing. I haven't done much with the project this last week.
