Convert rmvb to AVI

Hi,

I have no problem converting rmvb using VirtualDub to AVI format on my desktop running Win XP. However, when trying using similar setup on my laptop running Vista, the conversion hang after 5 minutes. I am using K-Lite standard codec for both PCs.

Any comment or suggestion to fix this problem is much appreciated.

I use Any Video Converter Free Version for those type conversions. The pay version gets rid of the nag screen. Works on most all Real videos. You can save to HuffyUV and open that in VD if you need to edit. Or just output to Xvid or other more convenient formats.

After numerous installing, uninstalling and reinstalling, it works.

I have no idea what I have done right and what I have done wrong.

Using Avisynth 2.58 and K-lite Codec 5.10 mega pack got it to work. 8)

But the end results of the AVI is not meeting my expectation. Garbage in, garbage out.
