CD audio to Blu-Ray

Now that the Beatles remasters have become available in FLAC form, I should like to burn them onto a blu-ray disk. I know I can convert the FLACS to wave files - then add them to a Premiere Pro timeline, and burn them using Encore - but that seems like a long way round, and would make life uneccesarily complicated!
Any ideas of a way to do this - and maybe maintain some kind of menu?

Note that I said "might". I haven't tried this or seen much of this thread. I can't promise this works, but it's better than nothing and so far I'm the only answer you've got.

Since the Beatles have done NOTHING at present to make their works legally available via download, the only way the remasters (NOT due out until tomorrow by the way) are "available" in FLAC form is that someone either ripped them from review copies and put them out on various file sharing networks or you can rip them yourself if you buy them.

Why not make a slideshow DVD instead? You can easily put 8hrs on a SL using AC3 or 6hrs with LPCM .

Didn't iTunes make their whole catalog available yesterday? I don't really care for the beatles, but that's what I was hearing all day on the radio; remastered albums, rock band, and itunes downloads. glad 9/9/09 is over.

And again I will ask...why would you?
Audio on a DVD and Blu-ray is 16bit/48KHz with a max bitrate of 1536kbps, although Blu-ray supports higher bit depth and sampling rates it will not improve the audio quality from a CD(16bit/44.1KHz/1411kbps). The only gain would be more music but if you use a DL you can get 15hrs with AC3 and 11.5hrs with LPCM, you can put the entire Beatles catalog on one DL with 192kbps AC3 audio.

I understand your comments about audio quality, my desire is to be able to back up a substantial collection on one dual layer Blu-ray disk, perhaps with a visual component (a la Apple TV)!

Now it really is true that the Beatles back catalog is (will be) available in FLAC and MP3:

The Beatles are releasing their whole back catalogue on a USB stick.

It's a limited edition release, with just 100 sticks available to UK punters out of a total release of 30,000.

The group has attempted to keep its music off the internet and have refused to have anything to do with Apple's iTunes malarkey. Of course that strategy has not entirely worked. Their music is still available via BlueBeat, despite efforts by EMI. And last year they released a 13-CD boxset of digitally remastered albums.

The USB stick, which comes in an apple shaped holder, will cost you £200 - substantially more than the CDs, which seems a bit unfair.

Along with the albums, the dongle will include 13 mini-documentaries about the studio albums, artwork and liner notes. They will be available from 7 December, but you can pre-order now, link below.

For audio wonks we should note that the contents will be provided in FLAC 44.1 Khz 24 bit and MP3 320 Kbps formats, fully compatible with PC and Mac.

I don't understand why Paul et al won't release compressed songs, I guess he and Ringo already have enough money. I know the history(and lawsuits) of Apple Records and Apple Computer but they could make an exclusive deal with Amazon,etc.
