There's so many DVD-to-AVI/Divx convertors out there. Am wanting one specifically for youtube.
I have just used AutoGK. It's good, problem is, it doesn't do auto-splitting of custom sizes (it has pre-defined sizes for CDs).
I think youtube upload limit is now 2GB and 10 minutes length. I like to keep the best possible quality of my DVD and I set the quality of AutoGK output to 100%. This produced a 1.9GB avi file. Problem is... it's about 1.5 hours long.
Question: is there another DVD-AVI/Divx convertor that does auto-splitting every 10 minutes whilst keeping best 100% quality.... or is there a lossless divx splitter?

You can try upload the DVD without any conversion at all(if the source is interlaced it may not look that good though). Use vob2mpg on the dvd and then split the mpg every 10 minutes using mpg2cut2 for example.
Or split the divx using virtualdub, see http://forum.videohelp.com/topic369151.html#1976604 and you can split by number of frames.
Ouch! split by no. of frames?!?!?
Also, I was told that my DVD had some errors in it (when played on DVD player, there was freezes.
What is the best GOP DVD fixer? Free.
You need to do some SERIOUS reading.

Yes, you are right, youtube accepts MPEG-2:Originally Posted by Baldrick

So I think VOB2MPG will be very good
I shouldn't have to say this, but ...
You do understand that if this is a commercial DVD that uploading it will be a copyright violation and it will be removed if the copyright owner asks. If your DVD is not a commercial DVD, then no problem.
Lol, it's not commerical DVD. It's a wedding DVD my friend made.Originally Posted by jman98
Thanks Baldrick for Mpg2Cut2. Nice program. Reminds me of Mpeg2Schnitts - totally unfriendly, no help, etc. but I managed to figure out the buttons and cut. Is there an automatic way to cut & save every 10 minutes? I have to manually move the slider and set starting & end points, then save clip. It gets the job done, but I thought there might be an automatic way....Originally Posted by Baldrick
There's also VirtualDub-MPEG2 edition... however that doesn't seem to save back to MPEG2 again during segmented saves... (instead it only saves as uncompressed AVI... or I have to recompress... no option to direct stream copy???)
A 1 minute clip produced 2GB files.
