OK I know there has been a lot written about this but honestly I don't know enough to understand the help. Here's the dilemma: I have recorded an event that was televised on ESPN with my cable DVR and need to transfer it to my computer for the making of a DVD. Does anyone have the inclination to explain to me in detail how to do this? In some of the other emails I read some responses that stated if the program was encrypted that you were out of luck. How would I find that out? Thanks for any help that can be offered.

The easiest way for you to do this would be to buy a dvd recorder and record the output of your dvr to the input of the dvd recorder.
The only dvr that you can easily transfer shows to your computer is a tivo dvr. All other dvrs you are pretty much limited to analog capture either via pc capture card or dvd recorder.Donadagohvi (Cherokee for "Until we meet again")
