I've got a wmv-hd file but it is slightly too large to fit on a dvd9 disc.
Can anyone advise any software that I could use to trim the credits off so I can burn it?
Keep seeing about wmv2other but can't find it anywhere.
Can anyone help?

Maybe Asfbin?
Yes, Asfbin will do this. My suggestion would be to simply split it in half as it will fit on two single layer DVD discs without editing. It's not like the world is going to end if you have to switch out discs, but your opinion may differ.
