ddtool giving me m2v, not VOB

I'm following cheekie moonkie's guide for ripping but I keep getting only m2v files and ac3 files. A vob does appear but it is 0KB and autogk says there's no video stream.

I used to use the DDMFrip with no problems but this ddtool seems to not work here??

actually nevermind on this. I found ddmfrip on my old computer and I'll just use that. ...unless there's some important reason to use ddtool?

I had the same issue. I solved it by decrypting the disk with DVD Decrypter into a directory: HDD:\VIDEO_TS (HDD being any hard drive with enough room) and then used ddtool on that VIDEO_TS folder (you need to set the correct drive in ddtool settings). This may not be best way of solving this problem but it worked for me.
