    Hi all
I try to stream a video with RTSP to my Android G1 Phone. If I send the stream with VLC to the Darwin Server and connect to the darwin server with the Phone, it works. But if I try to connect to the VLC directly with the phone, it doesn't work. As the environment (video file, server, network) is exactly the same in both tests, I am wondering what the difference is between VLC and Darwin? I mean, they both are RTSP-servers and send via the standardised Protocol RTSP.
I have found another post about this (http://labtel.ing.uniroma1.it/opencdn/darwinp.html), telling that VLC sends a specific information different than Darwin. But I cannot believe that this small difference stops my phone.
    Any clue?
    Thanks for sharing you thoughts...Cheers[/url]

vlc streaming can be very tricky. Maybe try an older version and see if it works any better(I have to use 0.8.6h to get decent rtp streaming). And be sure to visit http://forum.videolan.org/

ANd I think this is more a streaming issue so moving you to our streaming forum
