I'm running Vista x64 on my laptop. I just got a new external enclosure and HDD. I've formatted and partitioned via USB on my desktop and now I'm connecting it to my laptop via the eSATA port. Everything works without a problem. My one issue is, every time I turn the enclosure on, Vista detects the drives and autoplays each one as an open folder. I can find no way thus far to change this behavior. The external partitions do not appear in the Autoplay options menu.
Any input on this?

Use TweakVI, turn off autoplay.

I was trying to do it without turning off Autoplay completely. But the more I think about it, most of my actions are set to "Do Nothing" anyway so I may as well turn it off.
Thanks for the input.
