    Can anybody help me to convert a standard DVD to an AVI with surround sound? I have tried using Dr Divx but it keeps crashing. I also tried ripping to MP4 with RipBot and then converting with DivX Converter or Doctor Divx, but the programs either crash or give me an error message.

    Use AutoGK or Handbrake or Fairuse Wizard. All can keep the ac3 audio track.
