    Hey guys!
I'm new here and new into video capturing.
I'm from Brazil and I bought a capture card in the USA (Pinnacle's MovieBox Ultimate)
I installed all the software needed and when I started to capture, the image preview was black and white. I changes the video colors system on my bogth VCRs and on Pinnacle's software but I wasn't lucky.
Is there any way to fix that?
Thank you all for the attention.

    What are you capturing from?

An NTSC device will work for NTSC composite or NTSC S-Video but may not work with Brazil's PAL-M system. PAL-M would show as black and white. E-Mail Pinnacle about PAL-M support.

Not if they are PAL-M. Yes if they are NTSC.

Pinnacle may have support for PAL-M in the menus or as a separate model.

  5. Have you looked at your Studio software´s settings button in capture mode? The firts tab refers to your source (your moviebox device, firewire card, etc...) there you can select either PAL, SECAM or NTSC (also 4:3/16:9, etc...)

PAL-M is a hybrid of NTSC and Euro PAL.

It is 525 lines, 60Hz and color subcarrier is near 3.58 MHz but color encoding is PAL not NTSC.

Euro PAL has 625 lines, 50 Hz and subcarrier at 4.43 MHz.
