    What's a good tool to re-compress MKV videos? I have a 720p movie that's 7.9gb that I want to compress down to 4.37gb using h264 codec.

    Which tool should I use? (besides handbrake)

    You may want to check out RipBot264 or if you're the type who likes to tweak settings, then MeGUI.

    Xvid4psp is also really nice, but x264 ect does not auto update like it does in MeGUI
