I am trying to locate on of these dvr recorders. They were on the market around 2002.
Anyone could help I would be very grateful.

Two sellers have these listed on Ebay (the USA version) right now and one will ship internationally. Search on Australia's Ebay and you'll find the one who will ship to you.

I am not in any way responsible for any purchases on Ebay and you buy at your own risk.

Nope. I found 2 just some minutes ago. I even did a search on Ebay Australia and found one. It's still there. You need to look lower on the page. Here:

It's listed under Ebay International Sellers. It is STILL there.

Wonder how long it would take to get it to me in Sydney?
I need one rather urgently...I had mine stolen from my apartment and it wasn't mine.. I borrowed it to do some work on.

If you are willing to pay a LOT of money, international overnight is possible. Well, that's assuming that the seller will agree to do that. Usually the absolute best case for this kind of thing, and this costs extra too, is about 3 days. It all depends on who they use to ship. One week or more is also possible if the US Postal Service is used.

I don't own any DVD recorders, but do note that any model sold in the USA may be NTSC specific and that could potentially be a problem for you in PAL land. I have no idea if this recorder as sold in the USA is capable of PAL recording or not.

You were spot on the mark Jman98.. I asked the seller this question as was told it would only record in NTSC...Damn !! Im unlucky....If anyone can throw me a lead elsewhere that would be immensely appreciated.
Jman98 thanks a million for your wise insights !

Just curious, can you still find media for your 7000?
I had a chance to buy one about a year ago and started this thread http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showt...light=dvr+7000 at AVS but people said it wouldn't work with current media so I didn't buy it. I think it sat around for a 1/2 year and finally one day it was gone, I don't know what it sold for but it sure was a beautiful looking machine 8) I'm sure it was NTSC only though, a real classic.
